NOTICE TO ALL COMMITTEE, COACHES, HELPERS, PLAYERS AND PARENTS REGARDING COVID 19
St. Joseph’s Saturday Football Club Season 2020/2021

Dear All,

With the events of this year, an extremely challenging time for us all, we at SJSFC would like to thank you for your patience and understanding since February/March, during which all club activity has had to cease in accordance with both FA and government advice.

Grassroots football was very hard hit during lockdown but has shown its resilience with a gradual return and we very much hope to be in full swing for the start of the coming season.

With your help we plan to make it as rewarding for the children as possible, whilst maintaining high standards of safety, and you will notice some changes along the way.

Given ongoing advice regarding social distancing it will not be possible to operate the coffee hut, however we hope to bring it back into operation soon the with provision of packaged food/sweets and hot drinks only. Sorry, no bacon rolls during the cold Saturday mornings this winter!

With all this in mind, and to recognise the patience and goodwill of all of you who support the club through payment of fees, we will be reducing our annual fee for all renewing players (i.e. those who missed out on the final third of last season) to £50.00.

Would all attending SJSFC sessions kindly note the following in light of the current COVID 19 pandemic (you will be asked to confirm acknowledgement and agreement on the part of yourself and your child(ren) when registering);

Anyone with symptoms, or exposure within their household to symptoms, of COVID 19 (high temperature, new or continuous cough, loss or change to senses of smell or taste) must not attend SJSFC.

Sanitising stations and a one-way system will be in place around the field and must be utilised.

All players will be required to attend with clearly named water bottles and personal sanitiser, ideally in a clearly named boot or other bag.

We would ask where possible that only a single parent/guardian per child attends home sessions and all attendees must remain on the field at all times, save for necessary comfort breaks and when arriving/leaving.

Only one person may use the toilet at any given time, save for parents/guardians assisting their child.

Please note that the following are out of bounds and must not be accessed at any time;

  • Octagonal wooden gazebo on field.
  • Drinking fountains in KS1 playground.
  • Early years playground/equipment.
  • Yellow school litter bins (please take any litter home with you).
